It’s been 7 years since my life took a drastic turn. I had Bariatric surgery.
At my heaviest I was about 122kg. It was affecting my life. I had no energy, found it difficult to play on the floor with my grandbabies and walking was a huge problem. I think my success is hugely due to the fact that I changed my mindset from being healthy rather than being thin. I was a diabetic and used insulin for 15 years. Now I take one tablet as I am a borderline diabetic. I have lost about 45 kilos and feel like a new person. I am also a biker and can now ride an entire day without getting tired. Before I battled to ride 4 hours at a time. Thanks go to Dr Etienne Swanepoel and his amazing team and also to my family who supported me all thee way. 🙏
